The Doors The End Live at “Isle of Wight Festival” 1970

Since The End changed every time it was played live, it’s hard to pin down a favourite version but this atmospheric performance late in The Doors career is as good as any.

Originally written as a poem during Morrison’s break up with his high school girlfriend, The End continued to spiral into a different beast entirely until the iconic Oedipal explosion that was it’s live performance at the Whiskey A Go Go.
